Welcome to Knead Community Cafe! We are so happy that you are willing to join our team and offer your time in service to others.
Since there are few paid positions at the café, we are nothing without our valued volunteers who give generously of their time and talents - the heart behind our mission. Given the many opportunities for you to serve in the community, we appreciate and thank you for choosing to be a part of the Knead Community Cafe.
Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly, enjoyable, and uplifting environment for you to serve. While assisting at the cafe, you will become a blessing to those you touch, but our hope is that you will feel equally blessed by the difference you made in this community.
We often get asked how or why we started the café and the simplest response is that we truly felt a calling from God to help our local neighbors in need while creating a community where all are welcome. The tenet of our Christian faith is to love one another. Food and hospitality are the most basic ways to show love to our brothers and sisters who are the most marginalized, and each of us play an important role in caring for one another. A favorite quote that you will see on the back wall of the café is “Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God will come to know God because they know you.”

Complete the appropriate Waiver(s)
Once the above steps are complete, we will reach out to you with information on how to sign up for available times.
You may also access printable versions of the necessary paperwork below which you can complete and drop off at the cafe at your convenience. We also have the paperwork at the cafe.
We love our volunteers and are humbled and privileged by the opportunity to welcome you into the Knead Community Café family as well as serve alongside you in this awesome mission.
